Fine Whites

2006 Sauvignon Blanc Estates

Harvested in mid September of 2006 off the Estate, fermented in stainless steel tanks, this wine displays a nose full of pear blossom. Green apple mid palate, and a light, crisp finish. 500 cases were bottled in January of 2007.

2006 Chardonnay El Dorado

Picked at perfection on September 18, 2006 at 25 brix, this traditional style Chardonnay is harvested both from Estate grapes and grapes from the Keene Vineyards in Georgetown. It was fermented in 95% stainless and 5% new oak barrels. Tropical fruit flavors fill the glass with pineapple, star fruit and kiwi. A satisfying mid palate texture wit a lingering finish. 900 cases were bottled in January 2007.

2006 Pinot Grigio California

This wine was harvested in late September of 2006 from both foothills and valley fruit and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 3 weeks. It showcases a golden straw color, complex aromas of apricot and nectarine on the nose, herbal mid palate, and a crisp citrus finish. 300 cases were bottled in April of 2007.

2006 Riesling El Dorado

These grapes are almost always harvested last from the Keene Vineyards in Georgetown. This is to allow betritis to set in. Also knows as “noble rot”, betritis adds to both the sweetness of the wine as well as the golden color. It is crushed and goes to the press immediately to be pressed off the skins. The juice is slowly fermented in stainless steel tanks for 4 weeks and fermentation is stopped at around 2% residual sugar. This aristocratic wine boasts ginger and rose blossom on the nose, delightful fruity mid palate and a finish reminiscent of quince, honey and mango. 750 cases were bottled in January of 2007.

 
Robust Reds

Pinot Noir, Vin de Pays d’oc

This wine was imported from the Languedoc region in France. Its appellation, Vin de Pays d’oc means “wine of the country”. It is fruit forward with raspberry on the nose, light mid palate and acidic finish.

Pinot Noir, Bourgogne

This wine was imported from the Bourgongne region in France. It has a cranberry fruity nose, full earthy mid palate and acidic finish.

Monsieur Omo’s Red Sunshine California

This table wine is an inspiration of Beaujolais and Chianti. It has a rich ruby color, ripe fruit on the nose, delightful full mid palate, and easy flowing finish. Made to be enjoyed now, not to be discussed or collected. 300 cases were bottled in June 2007.

Cotes du Cosumnes California

A big wine composed of primarily Syrah. It is blended with minimal amounts of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc to the winemaker taste. It has a garnet color and fruit forward nose similar to pomegranate. The mid palate is earthy and robust with a full flowing finish. This wine is great with any meal. 500 cases were bottled in May 2006.

2005 Conti Bella Rosa California

An American Super Tuscan composed primarily of Sangiovese from the Keene Vineyards in Georgetown with a touch of Estate Merlot and El Dorado Syrah. It has a fruity bouquet of strawberry, blueberry and ripe plum finishing with a cinnamon oak flavor. 350 cases were bottled in June 2007.

2005 Merlot El Dorado

This medal winner is composed of 100% El Dorado fruit from the Estate and Keene Vineyards. The beautiful rich color is accompanied by a cherry nose, satisfying mid palate, and subtle fruity finish. This wine is great for special occasions or every day enjoyment. 500 cases were bottled in May 2007.

2005 Reserve Cabernet Franc El Dorado

This wine was picked in late September 2005 off the Estate and Keene Vineyards in Georgetown. This full-bodied wine has a nose full of raspberry and blackberry aromas. Its subtle earthy tones linger on the mid palate and finish with a lingering black licorice in the back of your mouth. 400 cases were bottled in May of 2007.

2005 Reserve Zinfandel Cardanini Vineyards El Dorado

These grapes were picked in early October 2005 in Camino at the Cardanini Vineyards. This high alcohol Zinfadel mimics the later harvest style Zin’s Amador County is famous for. This huge Zin displays a voluptuous garnet color. Its nose fills the glass with ripe plum and spices. The mid palate is rich with oak and smoky flavors that finish with an ever ex0pected lingering pepper. 325 cases were bottled in May of 2007.

2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon El Dorado

Known as the “King of Reds” this king Cab is a heavy yet delicate wine aged in both French and American oak barrels for 16 months. Its raspberry nose fills the mid palate with smoky and toasty vanilla flavors. It finishes bold and beautifully making anyone want to saver the last drop. 400 cases were bottled in May 2007.

2005 Reserve Syrah El Dorado

This Reserve Syrah is deep in color. Aromas fill the glass with black cherries, licorice and cassis. This extremely rich full bodied wine bursts on the mid palate with caramel oak flavors and finishes long and balanced with nice tannon and acidity. 400 cases were bottled in May of 2007.

2005 Reserve Estate Petite Sirah

Dry farmed on the Estate, these grapes are ripened to perfection year after year. This wines irreplaceable color looks inky in the glass. Its jammy nose and luscious body seduces the mid palate with berry and olive flavors accompanied by excellent acidity and fresh oak in the finish. 250 cases were bottled in May of 2007.
